A Memorable Visit: Pete from Machinery Pete at Leavitt Equipment (2020)

Back in 2020, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pete from Machinery Pete to our facility at Leavitt Equipment in Blackfoot, Idaho. Known across the country for his deep knowledge of farm and heavy equipment values, Pete made a friendly visit to reconnect with our founder, Dennis Leavitt — a long-time friend and fellow enthusiast of the equipment world.

The two spent the day catching up, walking the yard, and talking about the state of the resale market, buying trends, and what it takes to run a successful equipment business in today’s landscape. They enjoyed some tea and a relaxed lunch together, sharing stories from the field and years of experience in the industry.

Pete was kind enough to congratulate Dennis on the impressive selection of equipment on hand and took note of how well things were organized — from the layout of the yard to the smooth coordination behind the scenes. He praised the level of professionalism and the effort Dennis and the team put into ensuring a great experience for every customer.

Although there’s no official partnership between Machinery Pete and Leavitt Equipment, the mutual respect and shared passion for machinery make each visit meaningful.
